    InterKrewe Council (IKC)

    The Inter-Krewe Council creates an annual events calendar to assist krewe
    scheduling, plus keeps a membership roster. The umbrella organization meets
    quarterly in either Hillsborough or Pinellas counties with a designated krewe
    acting as the host. The Council represents about 3,000 members.

    Hosts of the Gasparilla Pirate Fest (aka the "Day Parade) and the  Children's
    Gasparilla Parade

    In 1904, the mystical legend of Jose Gaspar and his merry mates came to
    life, as members of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla donned their most
    colorful pirate dress, boarded their ship and sail into downtown Tampa,
    transforming Tampa's downtown waterfront into a spectacular celebration.
    2004 marked Gasparilla's Centennial.
